NART participates as a partner in Unicef's information and advocacy campaign for creating an inclusive environment in kindergartens, including children with disabilities.
The campaign's aim is to create a model for an inclusive and supportive environment for children with special needs in 10 kindergartens in Bulgaria. The model includes providing an accessible environment, individual consultations with specialists - speech therapist, psychologist and others for children with special needs and support for their families to actively participate in the life of the children in the kindergarten, training for teachers and others.
NART has joined, supporting the main target group - children and pedagogical staff from kindergartens in Montana, Lom and Sofia, through trainings and supervision.
The key element in which NART specialists participated in the support model was training in developing new skills among pedagogical and non-pedagogical staff in kindergartens for working with children with special needs and active interaction with children and building a comprehensive inclusive climate in the group and the garden.
