The project “Standup AGAINST extremism” is a project of KD1 of the programme “Erasmus +”. It took place from 20th to 27th November 2019 in Zakopane, Poland. The NART was a partner in this project.
The first main objective of “Stand up AGAINST extremism” is to prevent violence, extremism and radicalization through specific measures taken within local communities. The role of youth organizations in preventing violent extremism was strengthened during this project. What is more, the role of intercultural dialogue between young people and gender mainstreaming in combating violent extremism and radicalization was encouraged.
The project provided up-to-date tools for youth workers through which they could better address to young people while working on topics of prevention of violent extremism, hate speech and sources of hatred. We strive to strengthen initiatives that dispute extremist stories, propaganda, cultural, social, religious, political and ideological differences that lead to extremist violence.
