THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF RESOURCE TEACHERS HOSTED A BE CHILD PROJECT DISSEMINATION EVENT WITH PARTICIPANTS FROM 9 COUNTRIES

A EUROPEAN DISSEMINATION SEMINAR for the presentation and evaluation of project outputs: compendium of good practices and an educational toolkit was held in Sofia on 07.09.2022 with participants from Bulgaria, Check Republic, Estonia, Iceland, Italy, Romania, Moldova, Ukraine, Turkey – teachers, SEN specialists, university lecturers and university students, Ministry of Education and Science of Bulgaria, the project partners and other stakeholders. The project BE CHILD - BUILD A MORE INCLUSIVE SOCIETY SUPPORTING EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION AND CARE EDUCATORS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF SOCIO-EMOTIONAL COMPETENCES IN PRE-SCHOOL CHILDREN (2019-1-IS01-KA201-051137) which will have its end in November 2022 has the aim to present to the earlychildhood educators and parents a BE CHILD ToolKit for the development of socio emotional competences for early childhood education and care by offering high quality activities to support children in acquiring the appropriate socio emotional competences from the very early childhood (age 0-6). 

Prof. Johanna Einarsdottir, University of Iceland, the coordinator of the Project presented the findings of the partners as a result of the questionnaires and interviews they held with educators on the socio-emotional competencies in early childhood.                                     

The development of socio-emotional competences in preschool children and emotional intelligence were the topics of the presentation of Alexander Krustev (St. Cyril and St. Methodius University of Veliko Tarnovo, Pedagogical College-Pleven, chief assistant in Educational Theory and Didactics)

The third speaker was Alessia Spatafora - Managing Director at Center for European Research and Studies-future business - CRES-fb, and a Project Coordinator at Finance & Banking, Associazione per lo Sviluppo Organizzativo e delle Risorse Umane - EFFEBI Association. She presented the outputs of the BE CHILD project - compendium of good practices and an educational toolkit.

All participants evaluated the quality of the Seminar and the project results and gave their suggestions for improvements. We’d like to thank to all participants for their time and valuable inputs which will be embedded in the final version of our papers.

The project partners went on with a productive discussion focused on the final part of the project and the organization of the last transnational meeting in Iceland. The partners reported on the organization and the results of the training sessions for teachers in Estonia and in Italy, and the forthcoming on-line sessions, which will be held by Gradinita cu Program Prelungit, Romania and Heisuleikskolinn Krokur, Iceland.
